Children’s first years establish behaviours and attitudes they will carry through life. That is why Early Childhood Australia (ECA) introduced Start Early in March 2016, a professional learning package developed by ECA, and supported by the New South Wales Government.

Start Early aims to help educators explore, through short online courses, how everyday behaviours and attitudes shape a child’s lifelong relationships. It’s a long-term strategy to prevent family and domestic violence.

The three free modules (until the end of September 2016) look at developing Respectful Relations, explore issues around Gender, Respect and Identity, and encourage Father Inclusive Practice and take an estimated 45 minutes to complete. To begin these modules, please click here to be redirected to the Start Early Learning Portal.
