WOW Day - Wear Orange Wednesday

What is WOW Day?

Wednesday during the week of National Volunteer Week (this year, it is 21 May 2025) is Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW Day) — a great chance to show some love for the amazing NSW SES volunteers who help our communities during storms, floods, and emergencies.

This day is an opportunity for people across NSW and Australia to say 'thank you' to the volunteers who give their time to help others during challenging times. 

When is WOW Day?

Wednesday of the National Volunteer Week (this year, it is 21 May 2025)

Activities: 

• Dress in Orange

• Thank you cards and posters for SES volunteers 

• Story time about helping others, heroes, emergency services

• Orange Sensory Play

• Orange food making

• Orange Play Dough fun

• Dress up as a SES volunteer and role play helping others

• Visit or phone call to SES volunteers
