NSW Deputy Premier to headline inaugural State of the Sector 2024 dinner, awards & dance

ACA NSW is pleased to announce that the NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Education & Early Learning (the Hon Prue Car MP) has agreed to be the inaugural keynote speaker for the first State of the Sector dinner, awards and dance on Saturday, 4 May 2024.


This State of the Sector event is an opportunity to reflect on and recognise the incredible advances in early childhood education and care for NSW, her children and their families.


On 4 May 2024, the NSW Deputy Premier Car will outline her government's achievements since the 2023 NSW state election, while also bringing the audience on a journey toward and vision of the future filled with hope and confidence that will benefit all children as well as our invaluable educators and teachers.


During the evening, the Deputy Premier will also present three new annual awards to three exemplary individuals and/or teams for their most significant contributions towards NSW's:


  • children and children's outcomes;
  • early childhood education and care educators and teachers; and
  • early childhood education and care benefits for families.

The nominations process and criteria will available in December 2023 with nominations to be received by 11.59 pm on Sunday, 31 March 2024. The judges will also be announced by January 2024.
