As the Baird NSW Coalition Government had promised improvements in this area during the 2015 election campaign, unfortunately, there has been limited progress other than a planning taskforce which Nesha and former CEO Brianna Casey engaged with and contributed towards.

Commissioner Hobbs expressed her commitment toward “reducing red tape” in any substantive way that can assist a more efficient process for childcare related development application.

Chiang has also asked the NSW Small Business Commissioner to take on other issues for members both individually and collectively, particularly on legitimate and specific disputes with state regulators, as well as legislative failures.

Members are encouraged to contact the ACA NSW office to arrange representation should the NSW Small Business Commissioner be able to assist.
