CURRENT GRANTS:

My Mummy Grants | $5000 - $10,000| Closes: 16 June 2024

Offers coaching grants to deserving mums in business. Twice a year My Mummy opens up applications for grants. In both rounds they grant a $5k, $7.5k and a $10k grant to 3 deserving mums in business.The grant is to cover the costs of My Mummy's online coaching programs, boot camps and 1:1 mentorship too.(READ MORE)

Carman's Trees for Bees Community Tree Grants| $500 each - 22 grants available| Close: 15 July 2024

The Trees for Bees Community Tree Grants support the planting of bee-friendly trees in extended gardens, community-owned land, school grounds, sporting club precincts and urban corridors.

Grants are open to not-for-profits, school groups, landcare groups, community organisations and sustainability groups. (READ MORE)

National Energy Bill Relief for Small Businesses| $650 | close: 30 June 2024

Helps ease the rising cost of electricity bills for NSW small businesses.

NSW small businesses that use less than 100 megawatt hours of electricity per year may be eligible for a National Energy Bill Relief payment of up to $650 in financial year 2023-24.

Only one National Energy Bill Relief payment will be provided per eligible small business, even if it has multiple sites across NSW. (READ MORE)

Electric Vehicle Destination Charging Grants| 75% of cost| Close: 2 August 2024

Assists eligible regional NSW destinations by co-funding the purchase and installation of EV chargers.(READ MORE)

First Lap | $50 voucher | Close: 30 June 2024

Aims to make water safety education more accessible for NSW families, providing vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of children aged 3-6 years to contribute to the cost of learn to swim classes.

From 1 July 2023, parents, guardians and carers of children aged 3 to 6 years who are not enrolled in school, can apply for a $50 voucher towards the cost of swimming lessons. (READ MORE)

 

BizGiver | $5,000 | Opening April 2024(offered every 6 months)  

Every 6 months, BizCover will grant a $5,000 wish to one deserving business owner. More than just a prize, it’s their way of recognising the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment that small business owners invest in their dreams. (READ MORE)

 

P&C Transition Grant| $10,000 | 30 June 2025

Provides support for Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) providers that are interested in transferring their service to a Parent & Citizens Association, to enable the transition to become a Category A provider.

The objectives of the P&C Transition Grant are to:
- Support approved parent-run BASC services that are transitioning to P&C ownership
- Support P&Cs who are taking on responsibility for transitioning BASC services
- Ensure continuing access for NSW Government primary school students to approved BASC services impacted by the recent Provider Category Review. (READ MORE)

Sustainable Futures Grants | $35,000 | Close: 31 May 2024

Schools, early learning centres and community organisations are invited to apply for funding for environmental projects based on one of more of the 2024 themes ‘Energy Efficiency’, ‘Waste Management’ & ‘Water Conservation’.  This could include finding ways to conserve or reduce your energy or water use, switching to renewable energy sources, improving your waste management practices through recycling, better usage of organic waste etc. (READ MORE)

Giving Joy Grants  |  US$250-US$500  |  Close: 30 April 2024

 

Micro grants for women aged 18 and up from any country in the world. Your proposed grant activities MUST have a social benefit to your community and must go beyond financial aspects of your business. The more social impact you can illustrate through your idea – the better and the greater your chances of winning the grant.

 You can use the grant to start a new business, or expand your existing business. You can also use the grant to start or expand a non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO), charity, or propose a specific activity or project you would like to implement.

 Grants are not limited to any specific field. You can propose activities in any field. However, your business/organisation/idea must focus on women, girls and/or families.

IGA Community Chest  |  Unlimited  | Ongoing

 

From a pool of over $86 million, IGA Community Chest welcomes proposals on what support you are seeking (eg monies, donations of goods, providing team jumpers, holding regular fundraising at the store, group registrations at the store, etc). Your proposal will need to outline how the donation will be used and your timing. Also, your proposal should suggest if there is something you can offer in return to IGA? (READ MORE

Small Business Cyber Resilience Service Grant | $8.1 million from 2024-2027| Close: 26 April

Funds one service provider up to $8.1 million to improve the cyber security of small businesses and their ability to recover from a cyber incident.

The Small Business Cyber Resilience Service (the Service) will provide free, tailored, person-to-person cyber security support for small businesses. The Service will provide small businesses with advice and solutions on improving their cyber security which are aligned with existing guidance produced by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) and, when developed, the cyber security health check program, which will be co-designed by industry and the Department of Home Affairs and hosted on cyber.gov.au. This includes triaging small businesses accessing the Service, conducting an individual assessment of the small business and developing a tailored plan to improve their cyber security, recommending specific actions, tools and guidance best suited to the small business’ risk, situation and capability.  (READ MORE)

Aboriginal Languages Educational Scholarship Program  |  $1,000-$50,000  |  Ongoing

This Scholarship Program aims to grow the number of Aboriginal Languages educators and teachers across NSW. Eligible applicants must be Aboriginal, a NSW resident and currently undertaking (or enrolled to undertake) post-secondary tertiary education or training to learning, teaching or assisting in the development of a NSW Aboriginal Language.


The Frankie Foundation Grants (NDIS-related)  |  Up to $2,000  |  Ongoing

If your (under 12 year old) children's NDIS plan budget has run out or a therapy or the support is not (entirely) covered by their current NDIS plan, then families can apply for a grant of up to $2,000 to cover up to 10 therapy sessions for a child ages 2 to 12 years of age and currently on a NDIS plan or waiting plan approval. Grant Applicants must have a NDIS Plan Number. Variety's We Care Therapy Grants (NSW)  |  Up to $2,000  |  Ongoing

If your (0-18 years old) is diagnosed with disability or long term health condition yet have long wait times for an NDIS plan or are ineligible for NDIS, then Variety's grants may be of assistance. (READ MORE)

 
EXPIRED GRANTS :

Health and Development Participation Grants | $7,500 | Close: 1 April 2024

Provides funding to eligible early childhood education and care providers to support implementation of the Health and Development Checks in Early Childhood Education Program in 2024. 

The HDP Grant funding aims to support early childhood education and care providers to embed suitable strategies to enable their partnership, and children’s participation, in the HDC Program. The key objective of the HDP Grant is to increase awareness of and engagement with the HDC Program. (READ MORE)

Early Childhood Education and Care Flexible Initiatives Trial (FIT)  |  Up to $20 million  |  Close: 1 March 2024

 

Running from 2023 to 2025, the 2-year Flexible Initiatives Trial has been especially designed to target these barriers by providing grants for early childhood education and care services to test and trial new or adapted operating models, including: (A) Extending hours of operation beyond traditional working hours, (B) Providing flexible pick-up and drop-off times, (C) Giving families the ability to make irregular care arrangements, (D) Establishing new family day care services in rural and remote areas, (E) Partnerships between 2 different service types to provide extended or wrap around care arrangements. Applications for grants under the program are now sought from all eligible ECEC service providers offering education and care for children aged 0-6 in New South Wales. Aboriginal Cultural Grants Program   |   $500-$20,000  |  Close: 26 February 2024

Aboriginal Affairs NSW Cultural Grants Program's objectives are to support Aboriginal communities strengthen, protect, and maintain traditional and contemporary expressions of Aboriginal culture, support key contemporary Aboriginal cultural events and activities, contribute to Aboriginal community wellbeing and healing, through the use of Aboriginal culture and community connection and facilitate sharing of Aboriginal cultural knowledge and skills between generations. An example of an activity that may be funded is the creation of a digital installation showing Aboriginal history of the local community. (READ MORE)


Start Strong Capital Works Grants Program - Crisis Fund | Unspecified | Close: 30 June 2023

Supports the maintenance and creation of community preschool places where there is an urgent need for capital works. The Crisis Fund supports capital works in at least one of the following circumstances:

- An existing service is facing closure or relocation due to exceptional or unforeseen circumstances, such as, compulsory acquisition of premises
- An existing service is impacted by a natural disaster or state of emergency and is required to undertake urgent structural remediation work
- An eligible organisation wants to operate a centre-based community preschool in a remote or very remote area (as per the ARIA index) where access to preschool education is limited or non-existent. READ MORE

Helps NSW small business owners, charities and not-for-profits purchase safety items that improve work health and safety. READ MORE

NSW Government's Relocation Assistance for Skilled Workers Grants | Up to $10,000 per worker | Close: Ongoing

Relocation grants of up to $10,000 per worker are available to help attract skilled employees to regional NSW businesses operating in eligible industries. These will help businesses meet the costs of relocating employees, such as for furniture removal and temporary accommodation for up to three months. READ MORE

Community Child Care Fund Special Circumstances Grant Opportunity | Variable | Close: Ongoing
The Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) special circumstances grant helps services stay open when something unexpected happens. Services can apply when a local emergency or natural disaster threatens their ability to stay open.

This grant program supports the researching, testing, piloting and/or implementing a new idea or approach. The Quality and Participation Grants Program supports eligible early childhood education services to: increase participation and access for children experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage, by delivering targeted initiatives and support for Aboriginal children and children from low income families (Category 1); improve quality learning environments to positively impact experiences and outcomes for preschool aged children (Category 2); support implementation initiatives to meet the requirements under the Preschool Reform Agreement and Early Years Commitment (Category 3).  READ MORE

 

Federal Government: JobActive Restart  |  Up to $10,000  |  Close: Ongoing

Restart is a financial incentive of up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) to encourage businesses to hire and retain mature age employees who are 50 years of age and over. READ MORE

NSW Government: Small Business COVID-19 Support Grants  |  Up to $10,000  |  Close: N/A

This grant supports the ongoing operations of small businesses highly impacted from the COVID-19 pandemic following the NSW Public Health Order of 31 March 2020. Funds may only be used for unavoidable business expenses that are not supported by other government funding. These expenses include, but are not limited to utilities, council rates, telecommunication charges, insurance payments, professional advice, wages for an employee not eligible for JobKeeper payments, franchise fees, and paying creditors, if your business is closing. READ MORE

 

NSW Department of Education: Before and After School Care Equipment and Facilities Grant Program  |  Up to $30,000  |  Closes: 31 January 2021

The Equipment and Facilities Grant Program supports schools and services to fund equipment and facilities that enable new services to establish and existing services to expand. NSW Government: Southern Border Small Business Support Grants  |  Up to $10,000  |  Close: 18 October 2020

If your small business or not-for-profit has been impacted by the closure of the NSW and Victorian border, and it is located within one of thirteen (13) specified Local Government Areas (LGAs), you may be eligible for a southern border mall business support grant of $5000 or $10,000. Multicultural NSW: COMPACT! Partnerships  |  $100,000-$200,000  |  Close: 12 August 2020

Multicultural NSW is inviting proposals for new 12-month Community Partnership Action (COMPACT) projects valued from $100,000 to $200,000. COMPACT aims to inspire and empower young people to stand up and stand united against extremist hate, fear and division as champions for community harmony. Being part of a community and feeling a sense of belonging is more important than ever before. At Australia Post, we understand that when people in communities connect, they feel better. We also know that this often results in improved mental health outcomes and we want to support the organisations that are helping make this happen. Australian Government's Office of Road Safety (C'th): Road Safety Innovation Fund  |  Up to $200,000  |  Closes: 18 May 2020

Applications for the Road Safety Innovation Fund are now open, providing $12 million over four years from 2019–20 to support road safety research and the development of new road safety technologies. The fund will target innovative projects addressing priority areas which include improving road safety in regional and remote areas, reducing driver distraction and drug driving, improving safety for vulnerable road users and supporting road safety research and initiatives specific to the Australian context. READ MORE
