Sentence will never be enough for the life of Molly Ticehurst

The tragic and awful loss of Molly Ticehurst's life was horrible enough. Yet today's NSW Supreme Court decision to sentence her murderer to:

"28 years’ imprisonment commencing on 20 April 2024 and expiring on 19 April 2052,

with a non-parole period of 20 years commencing on 20 April 2024 and expiring on 19 April 2044"

... yet could also be released as early as in 18 years is unfathomable.

Alongside Molly's parents Tony and Kate, ACA NSW mourns the loss of Molly's life.

The delay in sentencing of Molly's murderer was also unjust. ACA NSW's CEO Chiang Lim attended the sentencing hearing in Orange on 3 September 2026.

We will always remember Molly.
