What is World Love Your Pet Day?

World Love Your Pet Day is held on the 20th February, designed to celebrate pets and the joy they bring. Pet Pampering is encouraged as well as focusing on the strong relationship we have with our pets. Pet owners shower their pets with plenty of treats and love.  

When is World Love Your Pet Day?

Tuesday, 20 February

Activities:

• Have a discussion about different types of pets you can own
• Children can bring in a photo of their pet to share with their peers
• Brainstorm the different pets the children in the classroom own. Create a tally to find the most popular pet
• Make some homemade dog or cat treats for the children's pets. You can also donate to the nearest Pet Shelter
• Brainstorm different ways we can love our pets
• Go on an excursion to the closest Animal Shelter
• Invite a local veterinarian to visit the service and talk to the children about pets.
